Legacy of Elegance: A Century of Timeless Upgrades at Our Historic Hotel
1890's
In 1891, Alexander Fraser, a local lawyer and magistrate, constructed the original house on this magnificent site overlooking the Niagara River and Gorge. Constructed with quality materials on a layer of bedrock, the home has retained its strength and character throughout the subsequent decades. Fraser and his family occupied the house until his death in 1942.
1970's
Elvira and Peter Van Kleef purchased the home and began the Bed & Breakfast business known as the "Eastwood Tourist Lodge". Growth of Niagara Falls continued as well as the Eastwood Tourist Lodge. Van Kleef expanded the building with a 6 unit addition in 1977, increasing the total number of units to 9. The operation was a roaring success and they passed their business to their son and daughter in law in the early 1990's.
2010's
Gerry and Joanne Van Kleef operated the B&B until their untimely deaths in 2010 and 2011. Sadly, this wonderful building was closed between 2009 and 2014 and was falling into disrepair. In spring 2014, the revitalization began once again when John and Isabella Pinter purchased the property and immediately commenced the renovation process.
2020's
June 30, 2020 marks the end of the final phase of construction at Eastwood Tourist Lodge. Now it is known as the Niagara Grandview Boutique Hotel that features the architecture of a grand Victorian hotel with interior corridors and private balconies overlooking the Niagara Gorge.

One of the best places I've ever stayed at. Great customer service. Perfectly situated by Niagara Falls and all types of attractions. Joseph, Mr do it all, was the best. Suzanne made us feel at home.

Loved this place! Super clean, bathroom was amazing! Best shower I ever experienced, bed was very comfy. Very relaxing atmosphere, we were very sad to leave here after the one night we had booked. Only a 15 minute walk to the first view of the falls/strip in Niagara. Breakfast was included with our stay, parking as well(one vehicle per room) which was huge pluses. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone in the area!

This was favorite stay…staff was friendly, a short drive to the falls, the breakfast was great, rooms were clean with great views, and the bathroom with two separate shower heads in each side of the shower.
Only wished the spaces out in the balconies on the first floors were available to during breakfast. I was definitely more impressed with this stay than my stay at the embassy suites

Newly renovated hotel, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the bathroom decoration is exquisite. The management staff are warm and attentive. Breakfast needs to be booked in advance, and we still have to wait for a while after arriving at the scheduled time. The breakfast is delicious, I feel like I can't get enough. We were on the ground floor and couldn't see the lights of the falls, but were close enough to the falls. There are very few such exquisite hotels now, please cherish them. Next time I will stay in this hotel.
