The property's magnificence, prime location, and breathtaking views captivated me. With a deep fascination for history and a passion for antiques, I recognized the opulence and potential of the Grandview Hotel. Since then, I vowed to preserve its original splendor while integrating modern conveniences. A Brief History...
The Niagara Grandview Boutique Hotel was constructed in 1891 as a residence for Alexander Fraser and his family. Its location on a ridge overlooking the Niagara Gorge captivated many visitors, creating the opportunity to open a Bed and Breakfast in 1961. The Grandview Boutique Hotel became the longest-running establishment in the Niagara Region. Today, it resembles a classic Victorian-era hotel and is a premier destination for international travelers. The property, covering nearly half an acre, is lush with trees, grass, and flowers. The building sits about 50 feet above street level, minimizing street noise and enhancing the view. Guests can enjoy the 19th-century charm with modern comforts, relax on Victorian porches, and explore garden areas. Operations
Richard is a proud fifth owner of the Grandview establishment in the past 140 years. He is passionate about Victorian style designs and aim to bring back the traditional hospitality service to all guests.
Joseph
Kitchen / Operations
Joseph has been with us for more than 10 years. He will be your master chef and you'll see him mostly in and around the dining space.
Prior to joining us he was a proud fine-dining restaurant owner and a trained martial art master.
Stella
Front Desk
Stella is one of our initial staff members and a local resident who is well knowledgeable about the Niagara region. You will mostly see her in the evenings at the front desk. Feel free to ask her anything you would like to know about the region.
Carmela
Front Desk
Carm is a bubbly and enthusiastic person who loves to interact and chat with our guests.
You will mostly see her on weekends serving breakfast while having a laugh with the guests.
Olivia
Front Desk
Olivia is a very friendly and charming person whom you will come across in the mornings during your stay. Ask her for anything and she will always do her best to accommodate.

Housekeeping
Jen ensures your rooms are tidy and your stay is pleasant. She could be a bit shy but feel free to say hi to her if you run into her in the hallway.

The name "Niagara" is derived from the Iroquois word "Onguiaahra," meaning "The Strait." This reflects the Iroquois people's understanding of the unique geography, where the Niagara River connects Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, forming a strait that leads to the magnificent falls. Niagara Falls, formed over 12,000 years ago by a receding glacial lake, is a stunning natural wonder. The falls' water originates from the Great Lakes, which hold about 18% of the world's fresh water. An estimated 685,000 gallons (2.6 million litres) of water rush over the falls every second, creating a breathtaking spectacle and a significant source of hydroelectric power.
